Reputed as a “Master Builder of Institutions”, Rev. Fr. Gabriel is responsible for the creation/ establishment  of innumerable institutions – like the primary, middle level and higher secondary schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Health Care centers, Nursing schools/colleges,  Health Research Foundations, Old-age homes, etc. - 

to take care of the educational and healthily conditions and also the general welfare of the young and old. Institutions like the Christ College in Irinjalakuda and the renowned Amala Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Thrissur are adorable jewels on his crown. Fr. Gabriel indeed is a shining example of a man with a mission, who has blazed the trail for the rising generation with his illumining  work.  His selfless contributions to the Indian Society were recognized by the Government of India, and he was awarded the Padma Bhushan on 26th January, 2007. This book written by K.R. Narayanan, one of his beloved disciples, in a lucid and racy style is a great reverence to his noble teacher.
